The purpose of the Munchkin Tennis Program is to expose children,
ages 4-8, to the skills of tennis in a fun and enjoyable way.
The basic skills are learning to handle the racquet and the
ball, making contact with the ball, controlling the ball, moving
to hit the ball, and hitting the ball to a target over the net.
When the skill level of Munchkin players improves, they will
advance to a higher level of play, one that resembles real tennis.
The objective is to make each child's initial tennis experience
enjoyable, produce good memories, and produce skills to build
on in the future.
